Assessments

The Dyslexia Association provides a range of assessment services.

 

All of our assessments are carried out by specialist assessors who hold a level 7 (Masters) qualification and have gained their APC (Assessment Practising Certificate).

Adults

A full diagnostic assessment to confirm the presence of dyslexia or any other associated specific learning difficulty in an adult aged 18 and upwards.

Children

A full diagnostic assessment to confirm the presence of dyslexia or any other associated specific learning difficulty in a child aged 7 and upwards.

University (HE)

A full diagnostic assessment to confirm the presence of dyslexia or any other associated specific learning difficulty in students aged 16 and above who are intending on applying for university or to Student Finance England for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA).

Exams Access Arrangements

An assessment which will provide written evidence and recommendations for Exams Access Arrangements (including section C of Form 8 if required).

This assessment will not provide a diagnosis of dyslexia or any other associated specific learning difficulty.
