Support Groups
We do not run Support Groups, but we can supply information about various groups in the area we cover: Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Rutland and Derbyshire.

Bassettlaw Dyslexia Support Group
This family friendly group meets in Retford, approximately every two months. Events are announced on this website.

Lincoln Support Group Meeting
This group, for adults only, usually meets on a Monday once a month, 7 to 9pm, outside holiday periods.

Rutland Dyslexia
This group, which is affiliated to The Dyslexia Association, arranges events from time to time. Details are announced on this website.
They welcome new members of the organising committee. Please call the Helpline (0115 924 6888) if you are interested in helping.

SMILE: Ashfield, Nottinghamshire
This support group is for parents of children with special educational needs. SMILE organises meetings at several locations in the Ashfield area of Nottinghamshire. See the SMILE website for details of dates and venues.
PATOSS Nottinghamshire
This is a local group in the East Midlands for professionals who support students with specific learning difficulty.
PATOSS Nottinghamshire aims :-
- to give professional support to its members and other professionals
- to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information
- to encourage links between all professionals working in the field of specific learning difficulties
- to promote a fuller understanding of specific learning difficulties
