Train to Gain tuition
We still have a limited number of places to offer tuition for working people and volunteers in the East Midlands.
We can offer literacy and/or numeracy tuition to people who:
- are aged 19 or older
- are in employment or voluntary work
- live in the East Midlands
- are working below level 2 in literacy and/or numeracy. (This is roughly equivalent to a Grade C GCSE in English or maths.)
All tuition is delivered in individual, one to one sessions with dyslexia specialist tutors.
This tuition is part of the national Train to Gain scheme and is offered in partnership with employers and organisations working with volunteers.
Tuition is free for volunteers, self employed people and employees of small to medium size companies. Companies employing more than 1000 people are generally required to contribute to the cost of tuition.
Train to Gain funding is coming to an end under the recent spending cuts, but we still have places for new starters under our existing contract.
