Job coping strategies training

Training is conducted on a one-to-one basis and is tailored to the needs of the individual and their employer.  The training will:

  • Develop strategies to manage workload and become more efficient and productive
  • Develop strategies to improve time management, meet deadlines and targets
  • Develop reading strategies, eg skimming & scanning skills
  • Improve oral and written communication skills such as participation in meetings, delivering presentations, constructing effective e-mails, letters & reports
  • Help the individual to cope in stressful situations such as noisy office environments with many distractions
  • Develop strategies for coping with change at work

Job coping strategies are currently fully funded by Access to Work.  If an application is made to Access to Work, there may be suppliers quoted within any subsequent reports.  Funding awarded by Access to Work is not connected to any of these suppliers.  The award for training can still be claimed if an alternative supplier (such as The Dyslexia Association) delivers the training as long as the cost does not exceed the amount awarded.
